BACKSTORY:
The Cosmic Era dawned with interstellar travel, bringing the discovery of exotic ores hidden among the stars. Soon, area mining rose to become humanity's paramount mission, and birthed a fresh profession—the Pioneers.
Pioneers are revered as heroes in the wilds of space, where survival demands more than mining expertise, but the strength of a warrior. The ores they seek don't come easy. Overwhelming alien bugs coveting the same ores scuttle, swarm, lunge to attack. The heroic Pioneers have to war as they mine, holding off the hordes long enough to forge better weapons—pressing forward, deeper into the unknown.
